We have started preparations to bring no confidence motion against Mayor Karachi: Hafiz Naeemur Rehman

KARACHI, Dec 12 (SABAH): Emir Jamaat-e-Islami Karachi Engineer Hafiz Naeemur Rehman has said that they have started preparations to bring no confidence motion against Mayor Karachi Barrister Murtaza Wahab Siddiqui. He said if they could bring no confidence motion in the Centre then why they could not bring no confidence motion in municipality.

Addressing a press conference in Karachi, Hafiz Naeemur Rehman said this time Pakistan People’s Party (PPP) would not be allowed to force people to vote in its favour. He said now PPP will not be allowed to formulate a corrupt government in Sindh. He said they have started preparations to bring no confidence motion against mayor Karachi.

He said if they could bring no confidence motion in the Centre then why they could not bring no confidence motion in municipality against them.

He said PPP is a party of a family and forty notables and added other than this it does not exist. Though they had differences with Zulfiqar Ali Bhutto and Benazir Bhutto but it is also a fact that this PPP is not party of that era.

Hafiz Naeemur Rehman said they are observing the situation regarding bringing no confidence motion. He said they would make contacts in this regard and added God-willing they would bring no confidence motion on a suitable time.

Emir Jamaat-e-Islami Karachi said that he welcomes transfer of provincial election commissioner Ejaz Chohan from here as they had once and again hinted that he badly supported PPP.

Hafiz Naeemur Rehman said they wish that new provincial commissioner play his role fairly and transparently. Election Commission is a state’s institution and it should fulfill its obligations, he added.
