Purpose of unilateral Indian actions of 5th August 2019 is to change the demographic structure & political arena of IIOJK: Anwaar-ul-Haq Kakar


ISLAMABAD, Dec 12 (SABAH): Caretaker Prime Minister Anwaar-ul-Haq Kakar has said Pakistan will continue extending its political, diplomatic and moral support to the people of Kashmir for their inalienable right to self-determination. Anwaar-ul-Haq Kakar said that we clearly reject Indian Supreme Court’s decision regarding the stats of Indian illegally occupied Jammu and Kashmir (IIOJK), adding that in this regard special session of the Azad Jammu and Kashmir legislative assembly is being convened and he will especially attend the session.

He reiterated this commitment during his meeting with Azad Kashmir Prime Minister Chaudhry Anwar-ul-Haq in Islamabad on Tuesday. During the meeting the situation arising after the Indian Supreme Court’s decision regarding occupied Jammu and Kashmir came under discussion.

Anwaar-ul-Haq Kakar said that occupied Jammu and Kashmir is internationally recognized dispute, which is pending at the agenda of United Nations Security Council from last seven decaded.

He said the final decision with regard to the future of Jammu and Kashmir should be in accordance with the relevant resolutions of the United Nations Security Council and the aspirations of the Kashmiri people.

He said Jammu and Kashmir is an internationally recognized conflict, which has been on the agenda of the UN Security Council for over seven decades. He said that India could not flee from its international obligations under the garb of so called legislation and court verdicts. He said that the purpose of unilateral Indian actions of 5th August 2019 is to change the demographic structure and political arena of IIOJK, which is an open violation of the international law and UNSC resolutions.
