Farooq Rehmani strongly condemns Indian SC’s judgment on the future of J&K & Ladakh

ISLAMABAD, Dec 12 (SABAH): Muhammad Farooq Rehmani, Chairman Jammu and Kashmir People’s Freedom League, has strongly condemned Indian Supreme Court ‘s judgment on the future of Jammu and Kashmir and Ladakh as malicious and fallacious which is fraught with dangers for the people of Kashmir, whom the Modi regime wants to change into minority on the Israeli model.

In a statement issued on Tuesday, Farooq Rehmani said that being an internationally recognised dispute under the United Nations Security Council resolutions, Indian Parliament, cabinet or the Supreme Court had no power to annex an autonomous country or get the merger validated by a court order.

He said BJP led Hindutva regime had an ulterior motives behind this decision to change the Muslim majority character of the State according to Israeli model which was applied to Palestine resulting in ethnic cleansing, expulsion and genocide of the countrymen. He warned India had become apartheid and was bent upon evacuating Kashmiris from their homes and land.

Expressing great concern over the developing situation, Farooq Rehmani emphasised that all the member states who had played their best part in voting the resolutions to hold plebiscite in J&K and the Secretary General, should take notice of this situation, invoking the Charter and the resolutions to censure India and grant right to self-determination to the people of Jammu and Kashmir.
