SHO CTD Muhammad Murad martyred in Khuzdar IED blast


KHUZDAR/ISLAMABAD, Dec 10 (SABAH): A senior officer of Counter Terrorism Department (CTD) was martyred in a blast in Balochistan’s Khuzdar district on Sunday.

According to the details, a vehicle of CTD was targeted in Khuzdar’s Sultan Ibrahim road in which the CTD’s Station House Officer (SHO) was martyred.

The police said that SHO CTD Muhammad Murad was martyred while two passerby sustained injuries.

It was an IED blast and the vehicle was badly damaged, said the police. The law enforcement agencies reached the spot and started collecting the evidence.

Meanwhile Caretaker Prime Minister Anwaar-ul-Haq Kakar has strongly condemned the blast in Khuzdar and expressed his profound sorrow and condolences on the martyrdom of CTD SHO Muhammad Morad in the incident.

In a statement issued on Sunday, Anwaar-ul-Haq Kakar prayed higher status for the martyred in heaven. He also commiserated with the bereaved family. The Prime Minister directed to provide all possible medical assistance to the injured.

He said such cowardly acts cannot weaken the resolve of the security forces:

Anwaar-ul-Haq Kakar said the entire nation salutes the martyrs for sacrificing their lives in the war against terrorism.

Meanwhile Caretaker Chief Minister Balochistan Mir Ali Ali Mardan Khan Domki also strongly condemned the blast and sought a report of the incident. In a condemnation statement, he directed officials concerned to arrest the elements involved in the blast.

Earlier, Station House Officer Muhammad Morad was martyred in a blast in District Khuzdar on Sunday.
