Politics of electables & families in country is the biggest hurdle in the way of strengthening democracy: Ameerul Azim

LAHORE, Dec 08 (SABAH): Secretary General Jamaat-e-Islami Pakistan Ameerul Azim has said that politics of electables and families in the country is the biggest hurdle in the way of strengthening democracy. He said that feudal lords and landlords imposed on the nation reach in the assemblies for the protection of their interests. He said that condition of the country will not change until and unless strict accountability is held.

This was stated by Ameerul Azim while addressing the gathering at Liberty Chowk after inaugurating the JI Youth’s election campaign. Emir JI Lahore Ziauddin Ansari, Secretary General JI Youth Shahid Naveed Malik and President JI Youth Lahore Jabran Butt were also present on the occasion.

Ameerul Azim said that those whom platelets were used to become low on summoning by courts and those who were used to roam while keeping medial certificates in their pockets al the time are candidates of prime minister and are preparing waistcoats. He said that the nation should support Jamaat-e-Islami and lay the foundation of the progress and prosperity of the country while fixing stamp on the election symbol of scale.

Ameerul Azim said that the masses are bearing the brunt of the policies of the previous governments, adding that there is need to break the status quo and its symbol is scale. He said that the institutions have failed to hold accountability of the corrupt people and now the masses have to perform this duty through their vote. He said that the youth should use the power of social media and should convey the JI’s message of the corruption free Islamic Pakistan at every home.
