Lakki police foil attack on checkpost

LAKKI MARWAT, Nov 26 (SABAH): The police has claimed to have repulsed a militant attack on a checkpost in Bakhmal Ahmadzai area of the Lakki Marwat district.

An official said that, cops noticed movement of militants around the police post in the modern thermal cameras, and fired at them. “The assailants also hit the police post with light and heavy weapons,” claimed the official.

He said that after hearing the exchange of fire, local residents also came out of their houses to assist the police in their action against militants.

The official said that the cops assigned the security and monitoring duty at the police stations and posts in the district were spending sleepless nights and used thermal cameras for effective surveillance.
