Planning Minister Sami Saeed stresses importance of educational reforms keeping in view the emerging challenges in education sector

ISLAMABAD, Nov 15 (SABAH): Rector, Bahria University, Vice Admiral (retd) Asif Khaliq on Wednesday called on Caretaker Federal Minister for Planning Development and Special Initiatives, Muhammad Sami Saeed and discussed various matters related to education, professional training and skill enhancement.

During the meeting, Rector Bahria University highlighted the key initiatives and achievements of the University. The Planning Minister stressed the importance of educational reforms keeping in view the emerging challenges in the education sector.

The Minister also highlighted several initiatives taken by the Ministry for the education sector and reaffirmed the government’s commitment to provide full support. The Rector appreciated the efforts of the Planning Ministry.

It is noted that this was the first time in the country’s history that the budget of the Higher Education Commission has been increased from Rs40 billion to Rs70 billion.
