Under Alkhidmat Foundation’s smog free drive, 10,000 plants have been planted after the names of Palestinians martyrs

RAWALPINDI, Nov 1 (SABAH): Under Alkhidmat Foundation Pakistan’s smog free drive, 10,000 plants have been planted after the names of Palestinians martyrs. During this grand program, over hundreds of volunteers planted these plants.

Basic motif of this plantation campaign is to motivate and persuade the people to plant more and more trees so that the smog free environment could be provided to the masses.

 

In the program, central vice presidents including Dr. Muhammad Mushtaq Ahmed Mangat, Syed Ihsan Ullah Waqas, Alkhidmat’s volunteers head Sanan Akbar, senior manager media relations Shoaib Hashmi, heads of several universities, students and people from all walks of life participated.

On this occasion, Dr. Mushtaq Mangat shared with the participants that today’s Alkhidmat Mega Plantation Drive has been attributed to the martyrs of Palestine. He said that Alkhidmat Foundation with the cooperation of international welfare organizations is taking part in aid related activities. He said as soon as ceasefire happens, it would take part in rehabilitation activities.

He further said the purpose of today’s drive is to remind the people that they have not forgotten the people of Gaza and added in wake of rising pollution, plantation is need of the hour. He said that Alkhidmat Foundation through the mega plantation drive is making arrangements for planting trees across the country.

On the occasion, Syed Ihsan Ullah Waqas said that youth participation in the drive is very welcoming. He also appealed to the people to take part in this drive for playing their role in the betterment of the environment.
