Raja Zafarul Haq chairs meeting of the National Alquds Committee in Islamabad
ISLAMABAD, Oct 20 (SABAH): Raja Muhammad Zafarul Haq chaired the meeting of the National Alquds Committee in Islamabad on Friday. Naib Emir Jamaat-e-Islami Pakistan and Coordinator Committee Liaqat Baloch, JUP leader Pir Safdar gillani, former ambassador Ayaz Wazir, Director Foreign Affairs Jamaat-e-Islami Asif Luqman Qazi and
President Alkhidmat Foundation Pakistan Professor Dr. Hafeezur Rehman attended the meeting.
It was decided in the meeting that National Alquds Committee will take steps at political and diplomatic level for the support of suppressed people of Palestine. Alquds Committee will meet the ambassadors of Egypt, Saudi Arabia, Iran and Turkiye and will stress upon taking steps for stopping the bombing on the Gaza. The committee expressed its concern that the OIC meeting failed to suggest any practical steps for provision of the relief to the people of Gaza. Alquds Committee demanded of the government to speed up the steps for the help of the Gaza.
President Alkhidmat Foundation Pakistan Professor Dr. Hafeezur Rehman informed the meeting that he has handed over Rs 450 million relief goods to National Disaster Management Authority (NDMA), these goods will be dispatched to Egypt through plane. He said that currently there is only one point from where the relief goods could be delivered to the people of Gaza, the area is Rafah border to Gaza. He said that if Israel provides safe passage and Egypt also becomes ready to open the border then the arrangement could be made to immediately dispatch the relief goods inside Gaza.
The meeting also appealed to the media owners to broadcast the programs on Gaza in English and Urdu to convey the voice of the suppressed Palestinians to the world so that the propaganda of the western media should be defused. The National Alquds Committee which was formed during the National Palestine Conference organized by Jamaat-e-Islami, will arrange the media conference on 23rd October in Islamabad.
