Sirajul Haq emphasizes growing significance of Palestinian cause, urging the Muslim Ummah to stand in solidarity with it
KARACHI, Oct 10 (SABAH): Jamaat-e-Islami Pakistan Emir Sirajul Haq has emphasized the growing significance of the Palestinian cause, urging the Muslim Ummah to stand in solidarity with it.
He expressed his views during separate meetings with Mufti Taqi Usmani, the head of Darul Uloom Karachi, and Maulana Muhammad Salman Banuri, the head of Jamia al-Uloom al-Islamia Banuri Town on Tuesday.
During the discussions, he stressed that the time has come for the liberation of Palestine and Masjid Aqsa from the unlawful occupation by Israel. Sirajul Haq extended invitations to religious scholars to participate in two upcoming events: the Palestine Marchin Karachi, scheduled for October 15, and the National Consultative Meeting in Islamabad, set for October 16.
In an effort to address the emerging situation concerning the Palestine issue, the JI chief, accompanied by JI Emir Karachi Engineer Hafiz Naeemur Rehman, the various religious seminaries in Karachi. The religious scholars expressed their support for Sirajul Haq’s endeavors in raising awareness and fostering unity among the Pakistani nation in regard to the Palestine issue. The JI chief called upon the leaders of the Muslim world to assume a decisive role in resolving the Palestinian issue, advocating for proactive engagement rather than passive observation or maintaining a neutral stance. He paid tribute to the sacrifices made by the Palestinian people in their struggle for independence and reiterated unwavering solidarity with their cause. He emphasized that the Pakistani nation firmly supports the Palestinian liberation movement and underscored the importance of Islamabad taking a leading role in championing the Palestinian cause, affirming the justifiability of the Palestinians’ fight for independence.
Hafiz Naeemur Rehman pointed out that the resilient resistance exhibited by the Palestinian people has discredited those who sought to recognize Israel. He asserted that the creation of the Israeli state was unjustifiable, making the two-state solution to the issue unacceptable.
