Russian peacekeepers deliver 12 tonnes of humanitarian cargo to Stepanakert for civilians of Nagorno-Karabakh


Moscow, Sep 30 (SABAH): Russian peacekeepers have delivered 12 tonnes of humanitarian cargo to Stepanakert for civilians of Nagorno-Karabakh. The humanitarian aid delivered included food, medicines and basic necessities.

According to a statement issued by the Russian Defence Ministry, in addition, along the route of the humanitarian convoy, Russian peacekeepers provided assistance to civilians traveling independently from the territory of Nagorno-Karabakh. The servicemen of the Russian peacekeeping contingent handed over drinking water, bread and baby food to all those in need.

The Russian peacekeeping force continues to fulfill its tasks in Nagorno-Karabakh. Continuous cooperation is being maintained with Baku and Stepanakert, aimed at preventing bloodshed, ensuring security and observing the norms of humanitarian law with regard to the civilian population.

The Russian peacekeeping force is hosting 117 civilians, including 50 children, who are currently unable to return to their homes. They are provided with accommodation, food and medical care.
