Pakistanis in Sri Lanka organize condolence reference at Pakistan HC in memory of Priyantha Kumara


COLOMBO, Jan 20 (SABAH): Pakistanis in Sri Lanka organized condolence reference at Pakistan High Commission in the memory of Priyantha Kumara. His widow Ms. Nilushi and sons were chief guests.

Ms. Nilushi Dissanayake specially thanked and Sialkot Chambers of Commerce and Industry (SCCI) and Prime Minister of Pakistan Imran Khan requested speedy justice to her husband. She thanked Pakistan is who supported her in this difficult situation and Pakistanis in Sri Lanka for the event.

She also thanked Sri Lankan President Gotabaya Rajapaksa and Sri Lankan Prime Minister Mahinda Rajapaksa, other ministers and media for supporting her.

She said she would raise he children not to hate people who killed their father but to be kind to them according to the teachings of Buddhism.

$1 lac from Sialkot Chambers of Commerce and Industry delivered to account of widow of Priyantha Kumara. 1st salary cheque also transferred in her account. Rajco Industries will keep on sending his monthly salary to his widow.

All expat Pakistanis strongly condemn this and any such incident happening anywhere in the world. We as human beings believe in peaceful coexistence of people regardless of their religious background.

Major Genera (retd) Umar Farooq Burki HI(M) said during his address that this commemoration in honor of late Priyantha Kumara is a proof that all Pakistanis from Pakistani prime minister to the common person on the street has grieved and strongly condemned this tragic killing.

The ceremony was also attended by Sri Lankan ministers and high officials.
