Supreme Court, Election Commission of Pakistan & the Establishment should remain impartial: Sirajul Haq

ISLAMABAD, Sep 24 (SABAH): Emir Jamaat-e-Islami Pakistan Sirajul Haq has said that it is our point of view that the Supreme Court of Pakistan, Election Commission of Pakistan and the Establishment should remain impartial, adding that the day these will become impartial the politics of Pakistan Democratic Movement (PDM), Pakistan People’s Party (PPP) and Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI) will be end.

This was stated by Sirajul Haq in an interview with a private TV channel. Sirajul Haq said that whether Pakistan Muslim League-Nawaz (PML-N) Supremo Mian Muhammad Nawaz Sharif is returning back or not or what legal difficulties he is facing this question should be asked from him. He said that the 250 million masses are facing difficulties due to PDM, PPP and PTI, adding that these parties have thrown the country into quagmire and made the nation slave of International Monetary Fund (IMF) and World Bank (WB). He said that these people have clutched the whole nation while striking agreements with independent power producers (IPPs), adding that these parties should reply before the masses about their actions, adding that he assures that these people could not face the nation as they have destroyed the nation, destroyed the economy and made the law and order situation worse, of which face they will go to masses.

Sirajul Haq said that the masses have given time and again chance to these parties but they every time betrayed the nation and committed excess with them. Sirajul Haq said that the PPP and PML-N have made the Pakistani politics hostage from a long time, adding that they carryout politics on the basis of money and looted wealth. He said that when their interest is same then they become united and chant slogan Bilawal and Maryam are brother and sister and if there is no interest they quarrel with each other and level allegations against each other. He said that the war of Jamaat-e-Islami is against the poverty, illiteracy, inflation and lawlessness. He said that PDM, PPP and PTI ruled the country during the last five years, adding that if there is poverty and inflation then it is not because of Jennies but due to these very parties, which sometimes are united and sometimes quarrel with each other.

Sirajul Haq said that JI wants timely elections as holding elections is the only way to bring the country out of current quagmire, adding that the caretaker government has no capacity and people have also no confidence in them and foreign world is also not ready to talk with them.

Sirajul Haq said that 48 percent taxes have been included in the electricity bills, adding that the government says there is electricity theft of Rs 550 billion. He said that if the government and government machinery is included in the electricity theft then why burden of this is put on the common man, adding that one common Pakistani bears the burden of at least five electricity thieves.
