Whole nation has been badly affected from inflation: Sirajul Haq


PESHAWAR, Sep 19 (SABAH): Emir Jamaat-e-Islami Pakistan Sirajul Haq has said that whole nation has been badly affected from inflation, adding that mare statements will not resolve the problems, practical steps should be taken. He said that there is fear in the eyes of the instead of dreams, adding that the bread is costly as compared to death. He said that the masses are longing for peace, adding that inflation is the problem of every individual and home. He said that the rulers should stop committing dacoitees on the pockets of the masses on the instructions of international institutions.

This was stated by Emir JI Pakistan Sirajul Haq while addressing the participants of the sit-in on 2nd day outside the Governor House Peshawar staged against increase in electricity prices and overall situation of inflation. Emir JI Khyber Pakhtunkwha Professor Muhammad Ibrahim Khan, former provincial minister Inayatullah Khan, Secretary General KPK Abdul Wassey, Emir JI Peshawar Behrullah and JI candidates of national and provincial assembly were also present on the occasion. A large number of people participated in the sit-in. The participants were holding placards and banners. The participants of the sit-in also raised slogans against the wrong policies of the government, increase in electricity, gas and petrol prices and inflation.

Sirjaul Haq said that current and former governments are performing duty of surveillance of the interests of International Monetary Fund (IMF). He said that country is rich with the resources but there is problem of corruption, theft, mismanagement, adding that stopping smuggling is the duty of the government and institutions. Sirajul Haq said that we are 100 percent representing the nation, adding that our peaceful movement will not stop now. Sirjaul Haq said that he will announce future course of action on the 3rd day of the sit-in.
