Imran Khan compromised national security by taking home diplomatic cypher & crafted fictional conspiracy to blame USA for overthrow of his govt: Ashan Iqbal

ISLAMABAD, Sep 1 (SABAH):  Former Minister for Planning, Development and Special Initiatives Professor Ahsan Iqbal on Friday said that former prime minister and Chairman Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI) Imran Khan compromised national security by taking home diplomatic cypher & crafted fictional conspiracy to blame USA for overthrow of his government though he was democratically voted out by a no confidence motion.

Professor Ahsan Iqbal expressed these views in response to a tweet issued by Professor of Applied Economic Steve Hanke on the other day stating “Truth is the power that will resolve our problems.  Former Pakistan PM and cricket star Imran Khan, who remains in Pakistani jail despite having his bail posted on Tuesday.”

Former minister remarked, “You are very right. Truth ultimately prevails. I respect you as an economist. You must know the whole truth. Every fascist & dictator catches up with his actions sooner or later. Imran Khan ruled as if he was the law. He put all opposition leaders in jail on bogus charges.”

While shedding light on his own situation during the PTI government, Ahsan Iqbal said, “I remained incarcerated in a death sentence prison cell for months & so all senior leaders of PMLN. Media was under worst censorship during his rule. Khan plundered billions of rupees returned by National Crime Agency UK. He sold state gifts like President Bolsonaro of Brazil.”

He further revealed, “Imran’s sheer incompetence destroyed the economy and the country is still struggling to come out of the crisis he left behind. On May 9, he organised arson & mob attacks on military installations and offices and burnt to ashes residence of country’s founding father with the help of his supporters.”

The former minister added, “PTI chairman compromised national security by taking home diplomatic cypher & crafted fictional conspiracy to blame USA for overthrow of his government though he was democratically voted out by a no confidence motion.  He is facing charges for many such crimes. There is a process of law if he is innocent, he will come out clean like we all did from the cases he filed against us and if he is found guilty he will be punished because there can’t be two laws, one for a leader & other for a common man.”

“Will such crimes be pardoned in USA? Why are Pres Trump & his followers being prosecuted for attack on Capitol Hill? If you feel Imran Khan is being wronged then please raise voice for Pres Trump & Pres Bolsonaro to be free of all charges as well,” Ahsan Iqbal added.
