240 million people of nuclear Pakistan are standing firm with Kashmiris in their just struggle for freedom: Sirajul Haq

LAHORE, Aug 30 (SABAH): Emir Jamaat-e-Islami Azad Jammu and Kashmir and Gilgit-Baltistan Dr. Muhammad Mushtaq Khan called on Emir Jamaat-e-Islami Pakistan Sirajul Haq and discussed with him multiple political matters including Kashmir conflict.

On this occasion, Secretary General Jamaat-e-Islami Pakistan Ameerul Azim and Secretary General Jamaat-e-Islami Azad Jammu and Kashmir Raja Jahangir Khan were also present.

Sirajul Haq stated that 240 million people of nuclear country were standing firm with Kashmiris in their just struggle for freedom and added they would stand by them till last moment as well as breath of their lives. He further added neither the rulers played any role for freedom of Kashmir nor played any part for sorting out issues of people of Pakistan.

He went on to say that those who left the country on the mercy of International Monetary Fund (IMF) and Occupied Kashmir on the mercy verified international terrorist Indian Prime Minister Narendra Modi were national culprits and continued the people will hold them accountable soon. He noted that Jamaat-e-Islami Pakistan was equipped with the strategy of getting rid of Pakistan from IMF and Kashmir from Modi.

Emir Jamaat-e-Islami Pakistan maintained that 12.5 million Kashmiris have been held hostage, adding the occupational Indian forces were committing worse terrorism in the occupied valley under the guise of black laws. He noted India perpetrating war crimes in Occupied Kashmir.

Sirajul Haq stressed upon international community and pro-justice international institutions to take notice of war crimes being committed by India in held valley and added India has been perpetrating severe violation of charter of United Nations and resolutions of Security Council.

He also urged the government of Pakistan to take up Narendra Modi’s illegal acts of Aug 5, 2019 in the Security Council and added India was trying to convert Muslim majority into minority for justifying these acts. “According to reports, India is issuing domiciles to millions of people belonging to areas other than occupied valley and occupying lands owned by Kashmiris while erasing their Muslim identity,” he lamented. 

Emir Jamaat-e-Islami Pakistan added that Kashmiris even have no basic human rights, saying thousands of them were detained in torture cells. He stated that lives of Hurriyat leaders who have been incarcerated were in severe danger. He pledged that Jamaat-e-Islami Pakistan has always taken up Kashmir dispute at every forum and added it would keep on supporting Kashmiris in the future too.

On this occasion, Dr. Muhammad Mushtaq Khan briefed emir Jamaat-e-Islami Pakistan about the seriousness of situation in Occupied Kashmir and thanked him. He expressed his determination that instead of all ongoing barbaric and cruel of India, Kashmiris were resolute for their freedom and added they would not accept any option other than freedom.
