Trailer-rickshaw collision kills four children, injures 13 others in Ahmadpur Sharqia

BAHAWALPUR, Jan 15 (SABAH): At least four children on Saturday have lost their lives while 13 others sustained severe wounds in a trailer-school rickshaw collision in Ahmadpur Sharqia sub-district of Bahawalpur.

According to details, the mishap took place due to dense fog. Soon after the incident, the driver of trailer fled the scene. Rescue officials told that the victims have been shifted to the hospital for medical assistance. Moreover, investigation into the matter has also been launched.

Meanwhile Punjab Chief Minister Sardar Usman Ahmed Khan Bazdar extended heartfelt sympathy to the families of the deceased children and sought a report from Commissioner Bahawalpur and RPO Bahawalpur about the tragic incident. The Chief Minister ordered authorities concerned to take legal action against the driver responsible for the accident.
