Punjab govt forms nine-member medical board to review medical reports of Nawaz 


 LAHORE, Jan 14 (SABAH): Punjab government has formed a nine-member special medical board to review medical reports of former prime minister Mian Muhammad Nawaz Sharif.

In a tweet, Spokesperson Punjab Government Hasaan Khawar said the medical board has been constituted as per decision of Federal Cabinet.

He said the board will present its report to Secretary Specialized Healthcare and Medical Education within five days and give opinion to bring back Nawaz Sharif.

Professor Dr. Muhammad Arif Naeem will be the Convener of the Special Medical Board; meanwhile Professor Dr. Ghias un Nabi Tayyab, Professor Dr. Saqib Saeed, Professor Dr. Shahid Hameed, Professor Dr. Bilal S. Mohydin, Professor Dr. Ambareen Hamid, Professor Dr. Shafiqur Rehman, Professor Dr. Moona Aziz, Dr. Khadija Irfan Khawaja are members of the special medical board. 

The Special Medial Board shall submit its report/expert medical opinion to the Secretary, Specialized Healthcare and Medical Education Department, Government of Punjab, within 05 (five) days positively. 

Meanwhile, addressing a news conference in Lahore on Friday, Punjab Government Spokesperson Hasaan Khawar said that nobody is above the law.

He said Prime Minister Imran Khan is committed to hold across-the-board acceptability of all those elements, who are involved in corruption and money laundering.
