Anwaarul Haq Kakar calls for effective legislation to ensure protection of children’s rights

ISLAMABAD, August 22 (SABAH): Caretaker Prime Minister Anwaarul Haq Kakar has emphasized on speedy legal action against violators of children’s rights to bring them to justice.

He said this while talking to Chairperson National Commission for Child Rights Ayesha Raza Farooq who called on him in Islamabad on Tuesday.

Caretaker Prime Minister Anwaarul Haq Kakar also called for effective legislation to ensure protection of children’s rights as well as to extend maximum facilitation to the National Commission for Child Rights. He appreciated the performance of the National Commission for Child Rights under the leadership of Ayesha Raza Farooq.

On the occasion, the chairperson congratulated Anwaarul Haq Kakar on assuming office of the Prime Minister and expressed her best wishes. She briefed the Prime Minister about current situation of child abuse and child labor in the country.

Meanwhile a delegation from Balochistan led by former MNA, Sardar Kamal Khan Bangulzai called on Caretaker Prime Minister Anwaarul Haq Kakar in Islamabad on Tuesday and felicitated him on assuming the office.

The delegation apprised the Prime Minister of the problems faced by Balochistan province.

On behalf of the caretaker government, the Prime Minister assured all his efforts to solve the problems of Balochistan.
