Pakistan reports seven deaths, 3,567 new coronovirus cases during last 24 hours


ISLAMABAD, Jan 14 (SABAH): Pakistan has reported seven deaths in the last 24 hours by novel coronavirus as the number of positive cases has surged to 1,315,834. The nationwide tally of fatalities has jumped to 28,999 on Friday. So far 1,260,407 patients have recovered in the country. So far 101,124,956 people have been partially vaccinated for coronavirus in country; meanwhile during the last 24 hours 327,877 people were vaccinated for coronavirus. So far 76,162,035 people have been fully vaccinated for coronavirus and 475,648 were vaccinated during the last 24 hours. So far 166,083,807 dozes of vaccine have been administered in whole country; meanwhile 786,835 dozes of vaccine were administered in the country during the last 24 hours. The positivity rate of coronavirus reported cases has reached 7.36 percent on Saturday.

According to the latest figures by the National Command and Operation Center (NCOC) 3,567 persons tested positive for COVID-19 in the past 24 hours.

The death rate from the coronavirus pandemic in Pakistan is 2.2 percent; meanwhile the number of recovered patients of coronavirus has reached 95.8 percent. During the last 24 hours 362 coronavirus patients were recovered in the country. There are 675 critical coronavirus patients present in the country. There are 26,428 active coronavirus cases presenting the country.

According to NCOC, Punjab province has become at first position in number of deaths from coronavirus pandemic; meanwhile Sindh province is on the second position. Meanwhile Sindh province has come on first position in terms of total reported cases of coronavirus, recovered coronavirus patients and active coronavirus cases in the country; meanwhile Punjab province at second position. On the other hand federal capital Islamabad has come on third position in terms of active coroanvirus cases. There are 1,432 active coronavirus patients present in Islamabad. There are 16,865 active coronavirus patients present in Sindh, 7,343 in Punjab, 687 active cases present in Khyber Pakhtunkhwa, 49 in Balochistan, 44 in Azad Jammu and Jammu and Kashmir and 8 in Gilgit-Baltistan.

The percentage of deaths from coronavirus patients in Azad Jammu and Kashmir is 3 percent, in Islamabad 1 percent, Gilgit-Baltistan 2 percent, Balochistan 1 percent, in Punjab 3 percent, in Sindh 2 percent and Khyber Pakhtunkhwa 3 percent.

Till now 13,085 individuals have lost their lives to the epidemic in Punjab 7,693 in Sindh, 5,952 in KP, 967 in Islamabad, 749 in Azad Kashmir, 367 in Balochistan, and 186 in GB.

Furthermore 494,064 coronavirus cases have been confirmed in Sindh, 450,686 in Punjab, 181,996 in Khyber Pakhtunkhwa, 110,243 in Islamabad, 33,682 in Balochistan, 34,726 in Azad Kashmir and 10,437 in Gilgit-Baltistan. Pakistan has so far conducted 24,032,951 coronavirus tests and 48,449 in the last 24 hours.

So far 469,506 coronavirus patients have recovered in Sindh, 340,258 coronavirus patients have recovered in Punjab, 175,357 coronavirus patients have recovered in Khyber Pakhtunkhawa, 107,844 coronaviurs patients have been recovered in Islamabad, 33,266 coronavirus patients have been recovered in Balochistan, 33,933 coronavirus patients have been recovered in Azad Jammu and Kashmir and 10,243 coronavirus patients have been recovered in Gilgit-Baltistan.
