Major challenges being confronted by interim setup include ensuring restoration of people’s confidence in institutions, maintaining impartiality, public safety: Sirajul Haq

MUNDA, LOWER DIR, Aug 17 (SABAH): Emir Jamaat-e-Islami Pakistan Sirajul Haq has said major challenges being confronted by the Caretaker Prime Minister and his Cabinet include ensuring the restoration of people’s confidence in institutions, maintaining impartiality and public safety. 

Addressing the inauguration ceremony of Darul Uloom at Tehsil Munda of Lower Dir, Sirajul Haq stressed upon the need of eradicating tornado of corruption, bribe and reference culture. He further said that the masses were badly affected by the initiatives taken by the two coalition governments during the previous five years and added the country was victimized by the worst polarization.

Emir Jamaat-e-Islami Pakistan said that inflation and unemployment were affecting each and every citizen, adding economy of the country has been deteriorated while people were dying with hunger. He said that initiatives of the interim setup would very fruitful for taking the country out of prevailing uncertain situation.

Sirajul Haq urged the Election Commission of Pakistan (ECP) to obey the Constitution according to its spirit at any cost while ensuring holding of free, fair and transparent general elections in the country within 90 days.

Emir Jamaat-e-Islami condemned the desecration of the Holy Quran in strongest possible terms in Jaranwala. In reaction, he said law was taken into hands while attacking churches and homes of Christians which could not be allowed at all costs. He termed these incidents as the failure of the police.

Sirajul Haq further said that Muslims emotions were being continuously disgraced in Europe by committing blasphemous acts regarding mosques, Holy Quran and Holy Prophet Hazrat Muhammad (PBUH) which is arousing wrath in 1.75 billion Muslims. He deplored the rulers of Islamic World were not representing emotions of Ummah in letter and spirit.

He stressed upon the interim setup and ECP to create suitable environment for holding free, fair and transparent general elections in the country so that the masses could elect their representatives of their choice. He stressed upon the need of setting up a durable government for the sake of betterment.

Sirajul Haq maintained major challenges being faced by the Caretaker Prime Minister Anwaarul Haq Kakar and his Cabinet include ensuring the restoration of people’s confidence in institutions, maintaining impartiality and public safety. He urged upon the caretaker setup to provide relief to the nation while bringing down inflation in the country. “People needed getting rid of rule of cruel landlords, notables, corrupt capitalists and families as they were given power once and again while deceiving the nation,” he added.
