KC-EU organizes protest demonstration to mark Indian Independence Day as ‘Black Day’ in front of Indian Embassy in Brussels
BRUSSELS, August 15 (SABAH): Kashmiri Council Europe (KC-EU) organized a protest demonstration to mark the Indian Independence Day as “Black Day” on Tuesday in front of Indian Embassy in Brussels, the capital city of Belgium.
It is important to mention that Kashmiris on both sides of the Line of Control and across the world observe the Indian Independence Day as “Black Day’’ on Aug 15 every year.
The protest gathering in Brussels was attended by a number of political and social organizations and other sympathizers of the oppressed Kashmiris. The participants of the protest were holding placards and banners having slogans in favor of the oppressed Kashmiris and against the Indian brutalities in occupied Kashmir.
On the occasion of the demonstration, Chairman Kashmir Council Europe (KC-EU) Ali Raza Syed said, purpose of our protest is to raise our voice against Indian atrocities on Kashmiris. India is doing extreme atrocities on Kashmiris. Indian state terrorism against the people of Occupied Kashmir has increased over the past few years and due to this, oppressed Kashmiris are suffering from various problems, important political leaders and human rights activists are being detained and arrested. Kashmiri youths are being killed in extra judicial attempts by the Indian forces. India is committing genocide of Kashmiris on a large scale and India is trying to erase the identity of Kashmiris by changing the population ratio in the occupied valley.
Chairman KC-EU Ali Raza Syed determined that the peaceful struggle for liberation of Kashmir would be continued. He called for immediate international attention on the existing situation in Indian occupied Kashmir. Ali Raza Syed said, atrocities against the Kashmiris should be stopped, all the prisoners should be released and Indian forces should be extradited from the occupied Kashmir.
Other speakers of the protest gathering also urged that International community including UN Security Council to take serious action against Indian atrocities in occupied Kashmir. They called that right to self-determination of the people of Jammu and Kashmir should be given to them without any further delay.
