ISLAMABAD, August 11 (SABAH): Pakistan and the United States have issued a commemorative stamp marking the 75 years of their bilateral relations.
The stamp was issued at an event in Islamabad on Friday, held to culminate the US mission’s year-long campaign in Pakistan marking 75 years of bilateral ties.
Addressing the event, Foreign Secretary Dr. Asad Majeed Khan said Pakistan values its long-standing and broad-based relationship with the United States which has been our key economic and development partner for over seven decades.
US Ambassador to Pakistan Donald Blome said the commemorative stamp not only marks the first 75 years of friendship, but manifests a vision for our future partnership in many arenas of shared purpose.
He said this stamp shows that we can accomplish great things when we work together.
The Ambassador and the Foreign Secretary signed specially designed commemorative envelopes and First Day Covers, along with the stamp.
