Prominent Schollar, Editor of Impact International Hashir Farooqui dies in London

LONDON, Jan 12 (SABAH): Prominent Schollar and Editor of Impact International Hashir Farooqui has been died at the age of 90 years in London on Wednesday.

He was founding member of UK Islamic Mission and was trustee of Islamic Foundation, Muslim Aid UK and many other organisations. He started Monthly Impact International in 1970 from London which served Muslim Ummah for forty years. One man Army personality continued international standard magazine for a long time.

According to his son Raffay Farooqui the funeral prayer of Hashir Farooqui would be offered tomorrow (Thursday) at Islamic Cultural Center Regents Park Mosque London after Zuhar Prayer.

Jamat-e-Islami Pakistan central leader Professor Khurshid Ahmed paying glowing tribute to the services of Hashir Farooqui has prayed for departed soul.

He expressed deep sorrow and grief over the sad demise and extended heartfelt condolences and sincere sympathies to members of the bereaved family of the departed soul. He prayed to Almighty Allah to shower His blessings upon the departed soul and to give patience to the bereaved family members to bear this irreparable loss with equanimity.
