Youth being destroyed in educational institutions while narcotics rampant in colleges, universities: Sirajul Haq
TIMERGARA, LOWER DIR, July 25 (SABAH): Emir Jamaat-e-Islami Pakistan Sirajul Haq has said that youth was being destroyed in the educational institutions while narcotics were rampant in colleges and universities.
Sirajul Haq expressed these views while addressing youth at Timergara, Lower Dir here on Tuesday. “Despite the fact there were revelations in this regard in the government’s reports, the rulers still remain mute on the matter of grave concern and that incident of Bahawalpur University is very worrisome and alarming,” he deplored.
He remarked, “The parents are upset. The entire nation is asking that why the rulers remain failed in providing protection to the youth generations. Semester system conferred all the powers to the teachers which opened doors of blackmailing.”
He demanded across-the-board accountability of the incident and harsh punishments should be given to the elements involved in the incident.
Emir Jamaat-e-Islami lamented that incompetent gang of rulers sticking to power for years has taken the country to the brink of moral, political and economical destruction and added no attention was given on upgradation of institutions while giving preferential treatment to personal interests instead of those of country and nation.
He made it clear, “Only ‘Islamic System’ guarantees success of mankind and country could be saved by enforcing teachings introduced by the Holy Quran and Sunnah.”
He advised the youth to standby Jamaat-e-Islami for the sake of betterment, saying nation pinning hopes on the youth which forms over 65 percent of country’s population.
Sirajul Haq noted that Pakistan Democratic Movement (PDM), Pakistan People’s Party (PPP) and Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI) disappointed the youth and asked the youth to work for the enforcement of Islamic Democratic System through the platform of Jamaat-e-Islami.
Earlier, he inaugurated volleyball tournament in the area and gave away prizes and gifts to the players. District Emir Aizazul Mulk Afkari and former MNA Sahibzada Yaqoob were also present on the occasion.
