Syed Salahuddin Ahmed pays homage to martyred commander of Hizbul Mujahideen Ahmed Hassan, his companions
MUZAFFARABAD, July 19 (SABAH): Hizbul Mujahideen Chief and United Jihad Council (UJC) Chairman Syed Salahuddin Ahmed has paid homage to the martyred commander of Hizbul Mujahideen Ahmed Hassan and his companions.
Syed Salahuddin Ahmed said that Ahmed Hassan was such a leader and commander in-chief who are counted in front line leaders of the Hizbul Mujahideen that sacrificed their lives for the honor of Islam as well as for the sake of freedom of his homeland.
He expressed these views during a special meeting of Hizb Commander Council. He further said that Ahmed Hassan along with his six companions embraced martyrdom in Occupied Kashmir during clash with the Indian occupational forces on July 18, 1997.
Hizbul Mujahideen Chief Syed Salahuddin Ahmed further said that they sacrificed their lives while waging a war against the Indian occupational forces; honor of Islam and freedom of his homeland. He further said that Ahmed Hassan played a leading role during his life and added that he had God gifted qualities.
“When freedom struggle was started then Ahmed Hassan played a leading role and plunged into the fire while being fearless, he noted. “Hassan played a tangible role in strengthening the freedom movement and tried his level best for bringing all the powers who were waging war against India on the same page and added that he was very pious person,” he added.
During the meeting, all the participants prayed for higher status of martyrs of Occupied Kashmir in paradise and reiterated their resolve that no-one would be allowed to play with the sacred blood of the martyrs.
