Our current account remained surplus over the last four months with surplus of $334 million recorded in June: ishaq Dar
ISLAMABAD, July 18 (SABAH): Minister for Finance and Revenue Senator Mohammad Ishaq Dar says Pakistan’s economy is in safe zone as the annual current account deficit decreased to 2.56 billion dollars in the last fiscal year.
In a video message on Tuesday, Ishaq Dar pointed out that the current account deficit was17.4 billion dollars deficit in the financial year 2021-22.
Ishaq Dar said our current account remained surplus over the last four months with surplus of 334 million dollars recorded in June.
Ishaq Dar also congratulated Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif, the State Bank of Pakistan authorities and his economic team for timely managing all external payments and devising prudent policies which helped decrease the current account deficit.
The Minister also expressed to take foreign exchange reserves of the country to the tune of 14 billion dollars.
