There is no achievement in govt’s performance in 15 months & it is only drama: Sirajul Haq


LAHORE, July 16 (SABAH): Emir Jamaat-e-Islami Pakistan Sirajul Haq has said that the there is no achievement in government’s performance in 15 months and it is only drama. He said that further increase in sugar, flour and gas prices for masses that are already fed up with the inflation is intolerable. He said that marginal decrease in the prices of the petroleum products is joke with the nation. He said that the government should accept its incapability due to severe deterioration of economic situation, historic devaluation of the rupee instead of presenting three percent improvement in rupee value after 58 percent depreciation while showing it as a big achievement.

This was stated by Emir JI Sirajul Haq while talking to the delegation of the provincial office-bearers in Peshawar. Sirajul Haq said that the masses are compelled to commit suicides and starvation but the rulers are presenting the rosy picture. He said that due to the circumstances the middle class is helpless but to decrease its two sufficient meals a day. He said that on the one hand there is announcement of the bumper crop of wheat but on the other hand the flour has gone out of the reach of the masses. He said that current and past rulers are responsible for the situation, adding that to change the situation the masses have to use their vote in a better way. He said that only Jamaat-e-Islami is the solution to political, economic and social pollution in the country.

Sirajul Haq said that JI has the complete vision and an experienced team to put the country on the road of progress. He said that the increase in electricity price is not less than falling the heavens for middle and the poor class people, adding that after including taxes the electricity price has reached Rs 56 per unit. Sirajul Haq said that we reject increase in electricity prices, adding that they will raise voice at every forum for the right of the masses. He said that after increase the electricity tariff, Rs 500 billion dacoity has been committed on the pockets of the masses. He said that the rulers eat the loans but the masses are made scapegoat for payment of the loans, adding that the government instead of committing excess with the masses should end its own perks and privileges.

While declaring marginal decrease in prices of the petroleum products a joke with the masses has demanded Rs 100 per liter decrease in petrol and diesel prices so that the benefit of the decrease in prices of the petroleum products at the international market and increase in rupee value against dollar could be passed on to masses.
