Coalition govt mortgaged entire country for economic revival: Liaqat Baloch


LAHORE, July 14 (SABAH): Naib Emir Jamaat-e-Islami and former parliamentary leader Liaqat Baloch has stated that coalition government has mortgaged the whole country for the sake of economic revival.

Liaqat Baloch while addressing at Markazi Tarbiyat-gah, Youth Convention, stated that coalition government of Pakistan Democratic Government (PDM) enjoyed the power while the masses badly suffered, adding so much so it mortgaged the entire country for the sake of economic revival.

Naib Emir Jamaat-e-Islami sated that the coalition government was not quitting the power and added that the parties which were part of this government blackmailing one another for the sake of befooling the public.

He stated it was crystal-clear that after failure of Pakistan People’s Party (PPP), Pakistan Muslim League (PML) and Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI) governments, now the experience of coalition governments has also badly failed, proving only a burden for the country and the millat.

Naib Emir Jamaat-e-Islami further stated that the masses of the country were in favour of solution of their hardships as well as holding of free, fair and transparent elections.

Liaqat Baloch stated that constitutional tenure of national and provincial assemblies was completing on August 12 and added now it was the choice of the government to settle electoral process within 60 or 90 days.

The former parliamentary leader further deplored that former prime minister and Chairman PTI dissolved assemblies of Punjab and Khyber Pakhtunkhwa while using his powers which damaged the entire political democratic electoral process of the country and added now it was on the run from the elections that was not possible.

Liaqat Baloch further warned that rigged and controversial elections of 2023 will bring a bigger destruction which will further deteriorate political instability, economic default and foreign slavery. He said that Jamaat-e-Islami will continue countrywide campaign for holding free, fair and transparent elections in the country.
