Burhan Muzaffar Wani: The new face of resistance against Indian Occupation: IDDDS

MUZAFFARABAD, July 08 (SABAH): The Institute of Dialogue, Development, and Diplomatic Studies (IDDDS) commemorated the 7th martyrdom anniversary of Burhan Muzaffar Wani by organizing a youth seminar and conference titled “”Burhan Wani: The New face of Resistance” against Indian Occupation” at multiple locations in AJK.

The events took place at the ZamZam Hotel in Ghrie Dupatta Jehlum Valley, and the Peace Model Vocational Centre in Ambor. Esteemed figures such as Dr. Waleed Rasool, the director of IDDDS, Chairman of the Peace Network Saeedur Rehman Sidiqi, and Chairperson of the Muqaddas Foundation Shazia Kanwal Awan, along with Iqbal Khan, Tanvir Durani Fareed Aiwaan, Parvez Khan Durani, and a large number of enthusiastic youth from AJK, actively participated in the conference. Throughout the seminar, the speakers passionately paid homage to the sacrifices made by the people of IIOJK, with a special emphasis on the beloved son of the land, Burhan Muzaffar Wani.

The platform was also utilized to address the international community and organizations, urging them to take a firm stance and raise concerns regarding the human rights violations committed by India in IIOJk, where innocent Kashmiris endure oppression. India’s actions not only flout the norms of international law but also encompass war crimes against the people of IIOJK. Yet, India continues to evade accountability by unjustly branding the innocent youth of IIOJK as terrorists. It is crucial to note that international law grants the people of Kashmir the inherent right to self-defense. However, the oppressor has cunningly constructed narratives about the state of IIOJK and its people, employing falsehoods to justify and validate their unfounded claims.

In the face of adversity, the resilient youth of AJK have pledged unwavering solidarity with the people of IIOJK and a collective commitment to the struggle for liberation. The event culminated in a rally where participants expressed their steadfast support and deep respect for the sacrifices made by the martyrs. The unwavering spirit demonstrated by the people of IIOJK, who endure unimaginable hardships on a daily basis, serves as an inspiration to all.
