Two civilians embrace shahadat while one critically injured as Indian Army opened indiscriminate fire onto a group of shepherds in Sattwal Sector: ISPR

RAWALPINDI/HAJIRA, June 24 (SABAH): On Saturday, at 11:55 hours, Indian Army, in a display of its usual inhumane approach towards innocent Kashmiris, opened indiscriminate fire onto a group of shepherds in Sattwal Sector. Resultantly, two civilians have embraced shahadat while one was critically injured.

According to a statement issued by ISPR on Saturday, initially one person was martyred and two others were injured however later on another injured persons succumbed to his injures.

Shaheeds include Obaid Qayyum S/o Muhammad Qayyum (Age 22 years) and Muhammad Qasim S/o Muhammad Din (Age 55 years). Both Shaheeds are resident of Village Bara Dari Tetrinote, Tehsil Hajira District Poonch.

The ISPR says driven by a newfound geo-political patronage, Indian forces have embarked on a plan to take innocent lives to satiate their false narratives and concocted allegations.

While a strong protest is being launched with Indian side, Pakistan reserves the right to respond back in manner of its choosing to protect Kashmiri lives in the LOC belt. Indian side is reminded to respect basic human rights of Kashmiris, particularly, their inalienable right to till their lands.

Meanwhile according to “SABAH” sources two local persons were martyred and one was injured in result of Indian indiscriminate firing on civilian population in Bela area situated near the Line of Control in Tetrinote Sector. Muhammad Qasim was martyred on the spot; meanwhile Obaid succumbed to his injures immediately after reaching Hajira Hospital. One injured person named Hafeez has been shifted to nearby health unit. The martyrs and injured person belongs to Bara Tetrinote area.
