CPNE announces formation of Sindh Committee for the year 2023-24
KARACHI, June 16 (SABAH): The Council of Pakistan Newspaper Editors (CPNE) has announced the formation of the Sindh Committee for the year 2023-24.
According to detail Aamer Mahmood is appointed as a Chairman of the Committee while Maqsood Yousufi will be Deputy Chairman. The committee will be consisting of other members including Anwar Sajidi, Aijaz ul Haq, Syed Hamid Hussain Abidi, Ghulam Nabi Chandio, Ikram Sehgal, Dr. Jabbar Khattak, Saeed Khawar, Kazi Asad Abid, Abdul Rehman Mangrio, Abdul Khaliq Ali, Hasan Abbas, Ahmed Iqbal Baloch, Faqir Manthar Mangrio, Owais Aslam Ali, Muhammad Siraj, Muhammad Tahir, Naseer Hashimi, Kazi Sajjad Akbar, Sher Muhammad Khuhawar, Salman Qureshi, Muzzafar Ejaz, Ayaz Ali Memon, Kashif Hussain Memon, Mrs. Munazza Seham, Muhammad Saeed Shah, Syed Muqadas Shah, Muhammad Taqi Alvi, Asad Siddiqui, Syed Rizwan Shah, Tariq Aziz, Mrs. Bilqees Jahan, Mehmood Alam Khalid, Ali bin Younus, Javed Mehr Shamsi, Syed Mudassar, Mudassar Alam, Imran Korai, Mehboob Abbasi, Faraz Ahmed Chandio, Nusrat Mirza, Usman Arab Saati, Rafaqat Tanoli and Naseem Akhtar Shaikh.
This Committee will consider the ground situation of the member publication in Sindh and recommend the measures to promote and safeguard their interests before the Standing Committee. It will also hold activities, functions, workshops, seminars etc. to develop the standards for print media in the province. Furthermore, the Sindh Committee will coordinate with the CPNE Standing Committee meetings and function in its region as well as commencement of any assignment given by the Secretary General or the Standing Committee. Matters relating to the press in Sindh will also be considered by the Sindh Committee which will be referred to the Standing Committee for further action. Similarly, the Committee will also organize different programs to bring the role of Sindh based press in the limelight.
