PM Imran Khan believes in impartiality & impartial umpires: Fawad


FAISALABAD, Jan 03 (SABAH): Federal Minister for Information and Broadcasting Fawad Chaudhry has stated that, “Neither we will be blackmailed nor give relief to opposition in cases”.

While talking to media persons along with Minister of State for Information and Broadcasting Mian Farrukh Habib and Chairman National Assembly Standing Committee on Finance Faizullah Kamoka in Faisalabad on Monday, Fawad Chaudhry said that they will not refrain from taking any measures in terms of accountability, adding that a discussion for making amendments in accountability laws is possible. Prominent parties should consider the aforesaid offer, he went on to say.

The information minister even explained that the opposition parties are merely influential to particular boundary or area stating that, “Pakistan Muslim League-Nawaz (PML-N) is a central Punjab party whereas Pakistan People’s Party (PPP) is a party of only Sindh.”

He further stated that if Jamiat Ulema-e-Islam-Fazl’s (JUI-F) or TLP wins the elections then it will be an unfortunate thing for Pakistan.

Fawad Chaudhry said that Prime Minister Imran Khan believes in impartiality and impartial umpires, adding that we want to move towards free, fair and transparent elections, adding that we want such system in which the elections are held in free, fair and transparent manner. Fawad Chaudhry said that free, fair and transparent local bodies elections will be held in Punjab. He said that big political parties should review their attitudes and their politics and especially the PML-N and PPP should do politics of national level. He said that 2022 is election year; however these elections will be local government elections and we will contest these elections.

Fawad Chaudhry said that on the eve of start of new year I will call again for moving forward the matters seriously, adding that efforts were made to destabilize Imran Khan and PTI during the first year but you were not succeeded. He said that the last year of current government will start after August during this year and prior to this local government will be held.
