Incumbent govt failed in overcoming non-development expenditures as well as corruption: Sirajul Haq

LAHORE, June 06 (SABAH): Emir Jamaat-e-Islami Pakistan Sirajul Haq has said that incumbent government has failed in overcoming non-development expenditures as well as corruption as Pakistan Democratic Movement (PDM) not capable to deliver the masses.

Sirajul Haq expressed these views while speaking to a delegation of Jamaat-e-Islami youth of district Kasur at Mansoorah on Tuesday. On this occasion Secretary Information JI Qaisar Sharif and General Secretary Jamaat-e-Islami Youth Shahid Naveed Malik were also present.

He further said that all the 13 parties which are part of PDM were acting in different directions while the country has been pushed to the darkness as International Monetary Fund (IMF) was being relied on in the absence of any particular economic plan.

He advised the rulers to get rid of IMF as the nation was not in favour of being obedient in front of any colonial power and deplored the coming generations were bound to pay off the loans, taken by the rulers, adding self-dependence was the only way out to come out of this crisis.

Sirajul Haq said that only Jamaat-e-Islami could take the country out of the crisis and the current cruel system ruined the country, adding a land lord represents a farmer, in the Parliament, an industrialist represents a labourer and corrupt capitalist represents a poor man of the country. A common educated citizen and youth needed to be part of assemblies for bringing change in the society, he added.

He said that ruling parties deceived the nation through false and fabricated slogans and added if they were further test, they would bring more devastation. He said if these people keep on ruling the country for 100 years, there would be no change in the nation’s fate as the masses needed to decide their own fate while striving for their rights.

The only option available with the nation was Jamaat-e-Islami for bringing real change in the society as well as for the enforcement of the Islamic System. He advised the youth to remain away from disappointment and support Jamaat-e-Islami for the sake of bright future of the country.

“It is a fact that Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI) wasted four years of the nation but it is also a reality that the current setup could not bring any improvement at all. There are so many members of the current cabinet that perhaps the Prime Minister possibly does not know the names of all of them,” he said.

Sirajul Haq deplored that despite the fact the government made commitments to eradicate the interest system but it did not do this. “Jamaat-e-Islami demands of getting rid of interest from the budget. Development of small farmers should be focused. Tax should be levied on the agricultural income of landlords,” he added.
