Ishaq Dar apprises Ms. Bao Zhong of economic situation of country & progress in the on-going IMF Programme.

ISLAMABAD, June 01 (SABAH): Ms. Bao Zhong, Acting Charge’d Affairs, Embassy of the People’s Republic of China called on Finance Minister Senator Mohammad Ishaq Dar at Finance Division on Thursday. 

Finance Minister Senator Mohammad Ishaq Dar highlighted the deep-rooted, long-standing bilateral ties between Pakistan and China, and appreciated the Chinese support to Pakistan on multiple fronts. He also apprised the envoy of economic situation of the country and the progress in the on-going IMF Programme.

Ms. Bao Zhong reciprocated the sentiments about the strong bilateral ties between the two countries. She also assured of constant support of Chinese Government to the people of Pakistan in economic and political terms.

In conclusion, Finance Minister Ishaq Dar thanked Ms. Bao Zhong for the support and cooperation of China to Pakistan.

Meanwhile Hamad Obaid Ibrahim Salim Al-Zaabi, Ambassador of the United Arab Emirates called on the Federal Minister for Finance & Revenue Senator Mohammad Ishaq Dar on Thursday.

Ishaq Dar and Hamad Obaid Ibrahim Salim Al-Zaabi, Ambassador of the United Arab Emirates conversed about the deep rooted brotherly ties between both countries and discussed the various areas of common interest for further strengthening the trade and economic ties between the UAE and Pakistan.

Ishaq Dar acknowledged that UAE has been a great partner of Pakistan in various fields including energy, refinery, petroleum and trade. The Ambassador of the United Arab Emirates also reciprocated the interest of the UAE government for expanding investment in various sectors of the economy of Pakistan. Finance Minister Senator Ishaq Dar appreciated and welcomed the investment proposals of the UAE in Pakistan and assured of complete support and cooperation by the government.

In conclusion, the Finance Minister shared sentiments of gratitude & good will with the Ambassador.

Meanwhile according to a statement issued by the UAE Embassy in Pakistan on Thursday, Hamad Obaid Alzaabi the Ambassador of UAE in Islamabad, meets Ishaq Dar, Minister of Finance & Revenues, and discusses matters of common interest and ways to enhance bilateral cooperation between the two countries.
