Alkhidmat Foundation in collaboration with Pakistan South Africa Association hand over keys of more 30 homes to flood victims in Jaffarabad

LAHORE, May 30 (SABAH): Alkhidmat Foundation Pakistan in collaboration with Pakistan South Africa Association has handed over keys of more 30 homes to flood victims in Jaffarabad, Balochistan.

In connection with this, simple but dignified ceremony was held at Jaffarabad and was participated by international cricket umpire Aleem Dar, Zamir Haider, social personality Engineer Abdul Majeed, Chairman of Pakistan South Asian Association Amanat Ali Tarar, head of foreign affairs Mehmood Ahmed Butt, Secretary General of Alkhidmat Foundation Balochistan Qamar Ibrahim and senior manager media relations Shoaib Hashmi, local office-bearers and notables.

On the occasion, Secretary General of Alkhidmat Foundation Balochistan Qamar Ibrahim told the participants of the ceremony that Jaffarabad was the area, particularly affected by the recent floods wherein homes, crops and livestock were badly hit. “In the light of critical situation of the area, Alkhidmat Foundation Pakistan initiated construction of homes and several other projects. Social personality Engr. Abdul Majeed donated 27 acres of land where work on construction of homes, mosque, water projects and a playground was underway. The flood victims were also given ownership rights,” he said.

On the occasion, chairman of Pakistan South Africa Association Amanat Ali Tarar said that Alkhidmat Foundation has not only played a positive role inside in the country but outside as well. He said that Pakistan South African Association is representative organization of Pakistanis in South Africa which play its role.

He said that Pakistan South Africa Association assists brothers and sisters who were found to be in miserable conditions. He further said that during flood of previous year, the organization played phased-wise role in rescue and relief activities.

On the occasion, Mehmood Ahmed Butt said that it was specialty of Alkhidmat Foundation to reach flood affected people of the far-flung areas of Jaffarabad and added, “We are thankful to Alkhidmat Foundation Pakistan in connection with its services of building homes for the flood-victims.”
