Judge of an accountability court AJK gunned down during house robbery attempt at Behria Town Housing Society Phase-8 Rawalpindi
RAWALPINDI, May 30 (SABAH): Gunmen shot dead a judge of an accountability court on Tuesday who offered resistance during a robbery attempt at Behria Town Housing Society Phase-8 in Rawat area of Rawalpindi while a dacoit was arrested in injured condition who was in critical condition.
According to media reports, two robbers entered the house of Sardar Amjad Ishaq, a NAB court judge in Mirpur, Azad Jammu and Kashmir on the night between Monday and Tuesday. As the victim resisted the house robbery attempt, the criminals opened fire, resulting in multiple injuries to him. Sardar Amjad Ishaq was rushed to a hospital in a serious condition where he succumbed to his wounds.
According to police, five accused entered a home located at Behria Town Phase-8 and during the resistance, Mirupur, Azad Kashmir Accountability Court Jude Sardar Amjad Ishaq was killed.
Meanwhile, one of the robbers was also injured as a result of exchange of fire. Police reached the spot, arrested the injured accused and began investigation into the matter.
On the other hand, Punjab Caretaker Chief Minister Syed Mohsin Raza Naqvi, taking notice of the gruesome murder, has directed the provincial police chief to submit a report and ensure immediate arrest of the other culprit. He expressed his profound grief and added that justice must be provided to the heirs.
