Farooq Rehmani expresses gratitude for non participants of G20 tourism meeting in Srinagar

ISLAMABAD, May 23 (SABAH): “We express our prayers and gratitude for the People’s Republic of China, Kingdom of Saudi Arabia, Republic of Turkiye , People’s Republic of Egypt, Sultanate Oman, Republic of  Indonesia, Republic of Maxico , for their high moral decision to not send their delegations to the G20 tourism meeting in Srinagar, ” says Muhammad Farooq Rehmani, Chairman Jammu and Kashmir People’s Freedom League and ex-Convener All Parties Hurriyat Conference AJ&K, in his message of thanks to the embassies and missions of these G20 member countries.

Farooq Rehmani requested to convey this message to their heads of states in their respective countries. He said that on one hand Indian Modi administration had demolished Kashmir’s indigenous personality by a ruthless demographic- change- plan, implemented draconian laws ,keeping thousands of people in jails, but on the other side India was hoodwinking the world opinion and UN Charter and relevant resolutions by pretending to organise a so-called tourism moot in the besieged and caged city of Srinagar, where besides military and paratroopers, hundreds of rapid- force commandos had been brought to suppress any voice of dissent.

Muhammad Farooq Rehmani told the G20 countries who didn’t register   that after the dismembering the State in 2019 and revoking all its special-status laws, India’s activities in the name of tourism in Kashmir were meaningless and fake and already India not Kashmir was beneficiary of tourism in Kashmir.

Muhammad Farooq Rehmani appealed to other members of the G20 to think over the positive lines and boycott the moot, till India withdraws all its harsh laws, honours UN laws and lifts all restrictions on Kashmiris to pave way for a just multiple dialogue on the future of Jammu and Kashmir. He cautioned against the consequences of secret surveillance groups around residential houses and large scale arrests of people under fake criminal charges saying that the people of Kashmir were in great misery-unimaginable so far.
