People involved in vandalization are hiding at Imran Khan’s residence at Zaman Park: Marriyum Aurangzeb


ISLAMABAD, May 20 (SABAH): Minister for Information and Broadcasting Marriyum Aurangzeb has said that Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI) Chairman and former prime minister Imran Khan planned attacks on state installations across the country. She said that all the imported have come in the field in support of Imran Khan, adding that facilitation of the chief of the terrorists and armed groups is not a justice. She said that the human rights of any criminal have not been violated in the country; however the rights of schools children, patients, animals and elderly people were violated due to this big criminal. She said that the schools of the children and hospitals were burnt. She said that when accountability was demanded he started unrest, adding that if terrorists are not present at Zaman Park then why search is not being given, adding that if there is nothing at Zaman Park then doors should be opened for conducting search. She said that if the Punjab government is asking then Imran Khan should allow the search of Zaman Park.

Addressing a news conference in Islamabad on Saturday, Marriyum Aurangzeb said armed protestors destroyed monuments of the martyrs. She said that 9th May is the blackest day in the history of Pakistan, adding that Jinna House and Corps Commander House were burnt and monuments of the martyrs were disrespected. She said five to six PTI leaders guided the protestors to vandalize state buildings and installations. The Minister said condemnation of the incident from Imran Khan is to hide his crimes.

She said Imran Khan in his Saturday’s tweet used an Artificial Intelligence technology generated picture to show human rights violations. She said Imran Khan is using fake pictures for propaganda. She said that a French channel has exposed Imran Khan’s propaganda. Marriyum Aurangzeb questioned whether throwing petrol bombs on police is not violation of the human rights? The Minister said people have started to quit PTI after 9th May incidents across the country.

She said that Prime Minister Mian Muhammad Shehbaz Sharif restored the respect of Pakistan after coming into power, adding that Imran Khan has always become source of defaming the country.

She said PTI protestors set Radio Pakistan building on fire and destroyed archives. She said Radio Pakistan has suffered a loss of 250 million rupees. She said if culprits of PTV attack had been punished, they would not have vandalized Radio Pakistan.

Responding to a question, she said academies of Radio Pakistan, PTV and Information Services are being integrated to train young professionals in the field of media. She said this integration process will be completed by next month.
