Israeli occupation martyrs 13 Palestinians & injures 20 others in Gaza Strip aggression: Palestinian Legislative Council

GAZA, May 10 (SABAH): The Israeli occupation launched a brutal aggression on the besieged Gaza Strip, targeting the homes of safe citizens, resulting in the death of 13 martyrs, including 4 women and 4 children, and injuring 20 others, including serious cases. The martyred include 10 years old girl Mayyar Ezzedeen, 9-years boy Ali Ezzedeen and 5-years old miner girl Hajar Al-Bahtini.

According to the details shared by the Palestinian Legislative Council, the aggression has continued with shelling through dozens of raids in which about 50 warplanes participated, targeting various sites, infrastructure, and agricultural lands.

It has been informed that this aggression also caused significant damage to residential buildings, of which 3 buildings were directly targeted, and 27 housing units were damaged that became uninhabitable, in addition to 129 housing units that were partially damaged.

The Israeli occupation tightened the blockade on the Gaza Strip by closing the crossings, which further aggravates the humanitarian situation inside the besieged Strip for 16 years, and threatens a humanitarian crisis if this closure continues.

The statement further said that this aggression constitutes a war crime, for which the occupation and its fascist government bear full responsibility, and represents a flagrant violation of international law and the principles of human rights, which requires the international community and all international organizations to stand up to their responsibilities to deter and punish the escalating crimes of the Israeli occupation against the Palestinian people.

“We, in the Palestinian Legislative Council call on all Arab, Islamic and international parliaments to condemn this aggression, strengthen the political and legal support of the Palestinian people and put pressure on governments in the direction of criminalizing the occupation and isolating it in various international forums” the statement said.
