After 2018 elections Imran Khan Govt style promoted uncertainty, intensity & intolerance instead of stability: Liaqat Baloch

LAHORE, Dec 26 (SABAH): Deputy Chief of Jamaat-e-Islami Pakistan, President of Standing Committee on Political National Affairs Liaqat Baloch while talking to journalists in Mansoorah, Gujranwala and addressing Workers Convention in Lahore said that after 2018 elections Imran Khan Government style has promoted uncertainty, intensity and intolerance instead of stability. The government has not taken any serious steps to end the crisis facing the country. The chances of Nawaz Sharif returning home are slim.

Liaqat Baloch said that the people are grinding in the mill of inflation, unemployment, lawlessness. Yet, no focus on empowered local government system, transparent and impartial electoral reforms. For a few days, non-issues are raised as issues, the people are humiliated and national politics suffers from ad hocism and irresponsible attitudes, which is increasing the political, constitutional, parliamentary crisis. The role of National Assembly, Senate and Provincial Assemblies has been reduced to zero.

Liaqat Baloch while talking to the PPP delegation said that the assassination of Benazir Bhutto was an irreparable loss for the national politics. The assassination of Benazir Bhutto 19 years ago has destabilized the nation. It is a tragedy that the ruling classes, instead of learning from any tragic event, resort to further destruction instead of improving the national situation. The PPP leadership cashed in on the martyrdom of Zulfiqar Ali Bhutto and Benazir Bhutto for power but failed to deliver sustainable democracy, parliamentary system and corruption free economic system.

Liaqat Baloch said that Quaid-e-Azam University Islamabad has become a hotbed of regional, linguistic and extremist prejudices. Rumors circulating in Islamabad say that the country’s most important university has been made the epicenter of corruption but the President, Prime Minister and Minister of Education have turned a deaf ear to it. Universities across the country are fanning the flames of regional, linguistic prejudices instead of educating, cultivating and preparing responsible youth. It is also tragic that biased, secular elements are silent on this catastrophe. The government should take care of the life, property and honor of the students in Quaid-e-Azam University.
