Attachment of Shakeel Yousaf, Shahid Yousaf’s properties by Indian’s NIA portrays frustration of Indian rulers: Jameel-ur-Rehman

MUZAFFARABAD, April 25 (SABAH): Secretary General Muttahida (United) Jihad Council (MJC) Sheikh Jameel-ur-Rehman has declared that attachment of Syed Shakeel Yousaf and Syed Shahid Yousaf’s properties by NIA portrays frustration and disappointment of Indian rulers.

Sheikh Jameel-ur-Rehman expressed these views through a statement issued here on Tuesday.

He further stated that Syed Shakeel Yousaf and Syed Shahid Yousaf who have been languishing in jails for a number of years for reasons unknown, attachment of their properties by the state institutions is a clear proof of disappointment and frustration of the Indian rulers from the ongoing freedom movement of innocent Kashmiris.

It is worth mentioning here that in the crackdown against freedom fighters, the National Investigation Agency (NIA) of India on Monday last attached properties of Syed Salahuddin’s sons in Srinagar, a move to crush voice of voiceless Kashmiris who have been waging a war for freedom since long. He added all such futile efforts of crushing the voice of Kashmiris was a just futile effort to discourage the leadership of freedom movement.

God-willing all such efforts would be foiled, he stated, urging the international human rights organisations to play their role for thwarting such violations in the future in the occupied valley.

As per details, a notice issued by the NIA, Immoveable Property (1567 and 1568) located at Revenue Estate, Nursing Garh, Mohalla Ram Bagh, Srinagar in Jammu and Kashmir, under the ownership of Syed Ahmad Shakeel, the son of Syed Yousuf Shah alias Syed Salahuddin, a ‘listed militant’ under UAPA Act, 1967 stands attached under sub-section 33 (1) of the Unlawful Activities Prevention Act, 1967 by the Order of Special NIA Court.
