Govt delegation contacts PTI for holding formal discussion
ISLAMABAD, April 21 (SABAH): Nominated representatives of the federal government have contacted with the Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI) on the issue of holding formal discussion among the political parties of the country.
According to a private TV channel sources, on behalf of the federal government, nominated representatives including Sardar Ayaz Sadiq, Khawaja Muhammad Saad Rafique and other leaders have contacted with former speaker of National Assembly Asad Qaiser and conveyed to him that they were making contacts with them for holding formal discussion. Asad Qaiser further conveyed the message of the government delegation to PTI’s General Secretary Asad Umar.
Asad Umar welcomed the initiative of the government and added that the government representatives should also brief about the developments during the hearing in the Supreme Court.
According to sources, it was not yet clear when the government’s delegation will hold meeting with PTI as nothing has been agreed upon on the matter till now. The government coalition has not still agreed upon date and time for holding meetings with the PTI leadership.
