Under Alkhidmat’s Kafaalat-e-Yatama Program, eid gifts, cash distributed among more than 22,000 children
LAHORE, April 20 (SABAH): Under Alkhidmat Foundation Pakistan’s Kafaalat-e-Yatama Program, eid gifts and cash were distributed among more than 22,000 children.
In connection with this, shopping for the children and their mothers in numerous markets of the country was carried out so that children could buy gifts of their own choice and that their participation in the joys of eid could be ensured.
Other than this a number of ceremonies were held across the country where cash money was distributed among orphans and courageous children. In these ceremonies, office-bearers of Alkhidmat Foundation Pakistan, courageous orphan children, their mothers and people from different walks of life participated.
On this occasion, Secretary General Alkhidmat Foundation Pakistan, Syed Waqas Jaffery stated that celebrating events is the right of each and every human being and added that motif behind distribution of these gifts among deprived children and their widow mothers was to sensitize them they were not alone on this happy festival of eid.
On this eid, cash was distributed among more than 22,000 registered children under Alkhidmat Foundation’s Kafalat Yutama Program, he furthered, saying this cash was handed over to them in the form of eid money, clothes, shoes and chocolates.
Besides this, he stated aftaar [evening dinner] was also provided to more than 1,600 children of Alkhidmat Aghosh Homes. He stated, “We need to take measures for the needy and deserving segments of the society individually as well as collectively.” He advised children to acquire education and play their part in the development of the country through their character and skills.
