Work started by PML-N for the development of Punjab was intentionally stopped by pevious govt: PM Shehbaz


 LAHORE, April 16 (SABAH): Prime Minister Mian Muhammad Shehbaz Sharif chaired a meeting on development projects in Lahore on Sunday.

On the occasion PM Shehbaz Sharif said that the work started by PML-N for the development of Punjab was intentionally stopped by previous government. He said that the revenge was taken from the people of Punjab for supporting PML-N. PM Shehbaz Sharif said that instead of starting new developmen projects in Lahore, the projects started during our tenure were kept suspended.

PM Shehbaz Sharif said that Punjab was handed over to incompetent and puppet chief minister for four years during the tenure of previous government. He said that instead of focusing on the development of Punjab the post of chief minister was used for political wrangling at federation. He said that the public welfare projects which should have decreased the difficulties of people after completion were kept delayed for years. PM Shehbaz Sharif directed to complete all the ongoing development projects as soon as possible.

Meanwhile Prime Minister Mian Muhammad Shehbaz Sharif visited ongoing development projects in Lahore on Sunday. Caretaker Punjab Chief Minister Syed Mohsin Raza Naqvi, the Chief Secretary and other officials were also present on the occasion.

The Prime Minister visited the site of the under construction Lahore Flyover Bridge near Arfa Karim IT Tower.

Shehbaz Sharif directed to complete the Lahore overhead Bridge project in one month.

Later, he also visited and inspected the ongoing work on the Central Business District project near Kalma Chowk.

Speaking on the occasion, the Prime Minister directed to complete CBD project in two weeks.

He said an early completion of the project near Kalma Chowk will facilitate the public in general.

While giving a detailed briefing, the Chief Engineer of LDA Israr Saeed said this is a project of Lahore Development Authority, to be completed at an estimated cost of 1712 million rupees.
