Pakistan confronting with political, constitutional, judicial, worst financial crises: Liaqat Baloch

LAHORE, April 5 (SABAH): Naib Emir Jamaat-e-Islami Liaqat Baloch has said that Pakistan is confronting with political, constitutional, judicial and worst economic crises while national leadership and stakeholders were just limited to presenting their analysis and fake ideas.

Liaqat Baloch expressed these views while addressing seminars and public aftaar programs at Lahore and Islamabad on Thursday. He said the quarters concerned were not preferring to stability and national security of country while giving significance to their political interests, parties and power. International establishment and anti-Pakistan powers were not concerned that either ‘he’ or ‘she’ comes into power as they only focused on denting the ideological basis, constitution, nuclear power, China-Pakistan Economic Corridor (CPEC) of the country as well as creating distance between army and public.

After creation of science of personalities worshipping and the popularity, Liaqat Baloch said the country was heading towards polarization and division within the institutions whereas politics, democracy and Parliament were not being given due status. He said that political issues should be resolved only on political basis in the light of interests of the country and added abiding by decisions of courts was an obligation for everyone whereas adopting legal and judicial course against the verdicts is a right enjoyed by each and everyone as well.

Naib Emir Jamaat-e-Islami further said that there is need of formation of full court for remaining safe from judiciary division and controversial decisions. He also stressed upon the need of referring all constitutional and electoral issues to the full court.

He said that Jamaat-e-Islami will actively participate in May 14, 2023 elections and added it [Jamaat] was of the view that sanctity of constitution should prevail at all costs which can put an end to ongoing crisis, riots, uncertainty and political differences. H escape from elections will pave a way to escape from the constitution and added that election should be free, fair and transparent. He said proportion representation like elections would be more fruitful in view of present situation.

Liaqat Baloch said that Jamaat-e-Islami is contacting with political leadership, government, opposition and stakeholders of civil society for holding national consultative meeting with a view of putting an end to political differences and sorting out political issues. He added that Jamaat-e-Islami will contact with national leaders including Imran Khan, Shehbaz Sharif, Maulana Fazlur Rehman, Bilawal Bhutto Zardari and others.
