United Jihad Council expresses concerns over resolution presented in AJK assembly for opening Kartarpur like corridor

MUZAFFARABAD, April 3 (SABAH): United Jihad Council Jammu and Kashmir while expressing concerns over a resolution in Azad Jammu and Kashmir Assembly for opening Kartarpur like corridor has declared that passing such resolution in this assembly is tantamount to surrender in front of Indian interior minister as well as futile effort of converting a blood line into a border that is very condemnable act.

These views were expressed in a special meeting of United Jihad Council which was presided over by Council Chairman Syed Salahuddin Ahmed on Monday. In the meeting, it was discussed that comparing Shahdara corridor with that of Kartarpur corridor was against the ground realities.

Matter of Kartarpur corridor belongs to international border whereas there is no border between the two territories of Jammu and Kashmir but a blood line which was named as control line.

In the meeting, the participants expressed their concerns after abolishing 370 and 35A by India, not it is trying to convert the Muslim majority area into the minority areas, adding the state has been practically converted into a jail.

The participants further said that India was inflicting cruelties upon the Kashmiri people since long. In such a situation, the government of Pakistan had decided unless articles 370 and 35A are restored, no dialogue will be done with India.

In these circumstances, if such a resolution as mentioned above is presented, it would surely raise suspicions though practically it has no tangible weight, the participants said. Kashmiri leadership will not allow this to occur as it would be tantamount to crush the freedom movement which was not acceptable at all.

In the meeting, all the participants stressed upon the leadership of Azad Jammu and Kashmir and Pakistani leadership to understand the sensitivity of Kashmir dispute and refrain from committing such acts which may dent freedom struggle.
