Alkhidmat Foundation continuing construction of a model village ‘Khuda Ki Basti’ consisting of 87 houses in flood affected areas of Jaffarabad
LAHORE, Mar 30 (SABAH): Alkhidmat Foundation Pakistan is continuing construction of a model village ‘Khuda Ki Basti’ consisting of 87 houses in the flood affected areas of Jaffarabad of Balochistan.
Under Alkhidmat’s “Tameer-e-Wattan Program”, a project of construction of more than 5,000 houses at the cost of Rs 1.1 billon in the flood affected areas. In connection with this 106 houses were being constructed in the affected areas of Balochistan where work on model village model village ‘Khuda Ki Basti’ consisting of 87 houses was ongoing at high pace and soon it would be handed over to the affected people whereas more 1,000 houses after repair and construction work had been handed over to the victims.
President Alkhidmat Foundation Pakistan Professor Dr. Hafeezur Rehman said that Alkhidmat Foundation is committed for provision of the services for the humanity and provision of services will continue till the complete rehabilitation of the flood affectees. He said that under the “Tameer-i-Wattan Programme” of Alkhidmat Foundation the money is being provided to the homeless flood affectees of South Punjab, Sindh, Balochistan, Khyber Pakhtunkhwa and Gilgit-Baltistan in different phases for the purchase of construction material including (GR sheets, Iron T garder, blocks and bricks).
Professor Dr. Hafeezur Rehman said that the amount for the purpose of construction of the houses has been deposited in the bank accounts of the flood affectees for the reporting, monitoring and audit. He said that the reopening of the bank accounts have been ensured for the flood affectees, who did not have bank accounts prior to this. He said that Alkhidmat Foundation is constructing complete houses of the flood affectees.
