People of Lahore rejected Imran Khan & his 10 points agenda at Minar-e-Pakistan: Marriyum Aurangzeb

LAHORE, Mar 26 (SABAH): Minister for Information and Broadcasting Marriyum Aurangzeb says present government, led by Prime Minister Mian Muhammad Shehbaz Sharif, will restore Pakistan’s economy and make people prosperous.

Addressing a news conference in Lahore on Sunday, Marriyum Aurangzeb said first time in country’ history, present government is providing free flour to deserving segment of society during Holy Ramadan.

The Minister said previous PML-N government, led by Nawaz Sharif, had left country on the path to progress and prosperity with 6 percent growth rate while Imran Khan left behind a Pakistan with grave issues of price hike, unemployment and poverty.

She said all projects including Youth Program, Employment Program boasted during former PTI tenure were actually launched by Nawaz Sharif Government.

Marriyum Aurangzeb said people of Lahore rejected PTI Chairman Imran Khan and his 10 points agenda at Minar-e-Pakistan on Saturday. She said that Imran Khan’s problems are not political but psychological, adding that Imran Niazi did not want election but his selection again. She said that one person used every tactic to save his power, conspiracy narrative was presented, which was accepted by his followers in letter and spirit. She said that Imran Khan makes big stories for securing attention, adding that she was amazed who are the people that believe in the false stories of Imran Khan.

Marriyum Aurangzeb said that Imran Khan asks people to break the shackles of fear but he himself delivers speech while standing behind the bullet proof glass. She said that Imran Khan presented 10-point agenda on Saturday saying he will improve the governance of the country, adding that he remained in power in Khyber Pakhtunkwha for 10 years why governance in KP was not improved.

Marriyum Aurangzeb said that Imran Khan remained in power for four years in Punjab and at center, adding that whether the meaning of the improvement of the governance was to handover the governance to Pinki Peerni and Farah Gogi. She said that Imran Khan could not improve the economy in KP in 10 years, adding that Imran Khan increased the loan of country from Rs 25,000 billion to Rs 44,000 billion. She said Imran Khan says he will overcome the corruption and money laundering, adding that if he answers foreign funding then automatically money laundering will be overcome.

Marriyum Aurangzeb said that Nawaz Sharif had left the inflation at 3.7 percent, adding that Imran Khan took it to 16 to 18 percent. She said that Nawaz Sharif had left the growth rate at 6.1 percent but Imran Khan left it in negative.
