Terming the Kashmir dispute as a festering legacy of partition of the subcontinent, he said that lasting peace and stability in South Asia was inescapably linked to a just and equitable solution of the Kashmir dispute.

He said that it was high time that the international community should play its due role to help resolve the lingering Kashmir dispute peacefully in line with the UNSC resolutions.
